Last week, ARRIS introduced the world’s first Wi-Fi which is certified by Wi-Fi Alliance, the worldwide network of the companies.
The new device was hailed “VAP4641 Wireless Extender” which lets providers to deliver high quality Wi-Fi to any place of the subscriber’s home. The extender has 130mm x 100mm x 40mm with wireless repeater or wireless access point. It gives an option of Scandinavian design with flexible placement whether a wall pluggable or a desktop placement. The device includes 4×4 5 GHz 802.11ac wireless access point and 2×2 2.4 GHz 802.11n wireless access point with 1 x RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet LAN port. It is supported by ARRIS HomeAssure that can be enabled for whole home Wi-Fi coverage and performance. It also supported with ARRIS ECO Agent R-069 and ARRIS ECO Envoy User Service Platform (USP) management client integrated.
The company stated “ARRIS’s HomeAssure whole-home Wi-Fi portfolio of gateways and extenders delivers on the vision of ubiquitous coverage contributing the intelligence and connectivity required in complex and varied home environments.”
