According to a recent report from Bloomberg, Apple is working on expanding their AirPods line with “higher-end” noise-cancelling and water-resistant version of the hardware and “studio-quality” over-ear headphones that were previously rumored earlier this year. Bloomberg suggests the company is eyeing a 2019 launch for the noise-cancelling AirPods, reading, “Slated for 2019, the earbuds will likely cost more than the existing $159 pair, and that could push Apple to segment the product line like it does with iPhones, one of the people said.”
The report also says that Apple is currently working on a new HomePod also slated to release next year, and a new update for Siri that includes a wireless chip and support to run and use the smart assistant hands-free.
