The big American tech giant has been introducing quite a few updates and features. A few months ago, Apple unveiled its three-dimensional city maps function in Canada, which was included with iOS 15 and is quite extensive. Also March onwards, Crimea will appear as part of Ukraine in the Apple Maps and Weather applications. In order to help people identify local businesses, Apple Maps also introduced the Nearby feature in India in 2020. Amidst the spree of new updates and features, Apple is set to introduce another feature this time.
This feature will be particularly helpful for all the e-bikers. According to reports, Apple is set to introduce a new feature in Apple Maps which will show all the optimized routes and paths for the bikers. According to reports, the route’s optimisation component could feature steeper ramps and pathways for electric bikes. This is quite a unique feature and with this feature, Apple Maps is said to have an edge over Google Maps. (Unless Google Maps already have some new features up their sleeves).
Coming to the other features, Apple Maps and Weather apps began displaying Crimea as a part of Ukraine. This change is relevant and applies to all users outside of Russia. When seen from countries other than Russia, Apple had not previously identified Crimea as a component of any other nation. However, the corporation continues to represent the Black Sea peninsula as a part of Russia, when viewed from within the country.
When Apple launched iOS 15, it also released the three-dimensional city maps function in a few Canadian cities such as Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. This provides better driving navigation, transit directions, and an augmented reality walking experience, as claimed by the tech giant. This new city experience will be available in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
Apple Maps also made the Nearby feature available to India. With this, one could easily see and track the nearby stores, shops, medical establishments and businesses and others for food deliveries, groceries, medical shops, hospitals, petrol pumps amongst others.
