Apple is reportedly working on developing an Apple TV app for Android devices. According to reports, Apple is hiring for the software development of the app. The Apple TV+ service offers original films, shows and other content.
Apple TV app under development for Android devices
According to the reports of Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is hiring engineers for the software development meant for building and developing the Apple TV app on Android.
A job listing was spotted for the role of “Android Software Engineer – Apple TV App”. The job listing states, “The Apple TV app team is looking for a proactive, hardworking and experienced senior android engineer to lead the development of fun new features, and to help build an application used by millions to watch and discover TV and sports.”
It is to be noted that the tech giant’s streaming app and subscription service have slightly different names. The Apple TV app allows users to sign up for and access their Apple TV+ subscription on Apple devices and Android TV.
Price and availability of Apple TV+ subscription
The subscription price of Apple TV plus in India starts from Rs 99 per month. Before signing up for the subscription service, users can choose and experience a 7 day trial to test the services. The one so have purchased a new Apple device such as an iPhone, iPad or Mac are given three months of free Apple TV plus subscription.
The tech joint also offers access to Apple TV plus as part of its Apple One subscription which is available in both personal as well as family options. The personal plan costs about rupees 195 per month while the family option costs Rs 365 per month and can allow up to five additional users.
