The iPad Pro 2022 is going to be one of the most talked-about new releases of the year. Not only will it be in direct competition with Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S8 family, but it will also be competing with the top-end models from Huawei and LG. Apple needs to make sure its iPad Pro is impressive, besides its competition of the anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 family. Apple cannot risk getting its thunder stolen.
Most recent leaks make it sound like these models will launch towards the end of 2022, bucking Apple’s trend of debuting them at the beginning of the year. An iPad Pro (2022) leak points to the tablets being a little bit more affordable, surprisingly.
Rumours say that the 11-inch version will cost $799 for 128GB storage and cellular connectivity, while the 12.9-inch version will go for $1,099 for those same specs.
Those prices are a fair bit below the corresponding configuration prices for the 2021 model, giving lesser deep pockets look.
Despite the talk that Apple is exploring larger iPad Pro screen sizes, the new launch will have an 11″ screen like iPad Pro 2021.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo (Apple Analyst), a 14.1-inch version is coming anyway.
Rumours claim that the next Apple iPad Pro 2022 will be released somewhere at the end of this year and might come with a new name: “iPad Pro.”
If true, this is a huge change for Apple’s tablet line—and it also means users are getting closer to seeing the technology that could be used in its next iPhone.
The new iPad Pro will reportedly have an OLED screen instead of the LCD model’s, but there’s a chance it might use a different type of display altogether. One report says that Apple may use mini-LED displays on this model, which are only found on the 12.9-inch version of the current iPad Pro.
This news comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a reputation for producing reliable predictions about new Apple products. His latest note suggests that MagSafe – which allows users to connect their device via magnets to peripherals like chargers and cases – will be standard on all models going forward.
In addition to MagSafe, Kuo says that wireless charging is likely going to be added to future iPads, too. He predicts that when these devices hit store shelves in 2022, they’ll support both reverse wireless charging and wireless charging at all times.
There is a possibility that the Apple iPad Pro 2022 storage size will increase, with 512GB, 1TB, 2TB and even 4TB versions being reported.
