Apple has introduced the midnight black version of the HomePod mini. This replaces the previously available space gray version.
HomePod mini in midnight black
The Cupertino based tech giant has recently unveiled the HomePod Mini in a new midnight color. Early last year the space gray version was introduced which is now being replaced by the midnight black version. At first sight, it might be difficult for you to differentiate between the two since they look quite similar.
According to Apple the space gray variant of the HomePod mini’s cover is made from 90% recycle plastic but the new midnight version features 100% recycled mesh fabric.
All hardware specifications and software features are the same as last year’s HomePod Mini. Some of the features include edge to edge touch panel, audio quality and smart home controls. It can also detect temperature and humidity, double up as an intercom for Siri- enabled speakers, can even detect smoke and carbon monoxide and can alert the users on their iPhones.
Color variations available for HomePod Mini
Initially the HomePod Mini was available in two colors only-white and space gray. Later on three more colors namely yellow, orange and blue were added by Apple. The HomePod Mini is a smart speaker which was launched in 2021 and it works smoothly with other Apple products. The only gripe is that it needs to be plugged into a power source at all times.
It is currently available on the Apple website for Rs 10,900, but you might be able to save a few bucks by purchasing it from e-commerce platforms like Amazon.
