The annual avalanche of can’t-say-no pricing on items you don’t need but just have to have, Prime Day, will be coming shortly, and this year’s festivities will include a very welcome windfall for gamers: More than 30 games, including some excellent ones, will be available for free to Amazon Prime subscribers. It’s technically Prime Days, as the event begins at 3 a.m. ET on July 12 and runs through July 13. However, on June 21, the game giveaways will commence with 25 indie games from the past and present:

When Prime Day(s) officially begins on July 12, another half-dozen games will be added to the mix. The highlight is Mass Effect Legendary Edition, a remastered version of BioWare’s massive space opera trilogy, although racing lovers will like Grid Legends and Need for Speed Heat. Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy, Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Jedi Outcast, and Star Wars: Republic Commando are all available for Star Wars enthusiasts. They aren’t the newest games on the block, but they are timeless classics that are also completely free.
Prime Gaming is part of Amazon Prime, which costs $15 a month and provides access to Prime Video, free shipping on eligible items, a monthly free Twitch channel subscription, and more.
