Previously only available for Alexa-enabled devices and smartphones with the app, Amazon has rolled out the calling and texting feature to tablets with the smart assistant—and not just those under Amazon. Aside from Amazon and Amazon Fire tablets, they’re now available to iPads. As for receiving calls, owners won’t need a tablet or even a smart speaker. So you can now send or receive calls and texts on either tablet or phone, which is definitely a handy feature.
Amazon has made the new service available today. Device owners only need to download the Alexa app, add in and verify their phone number and contacts.
