The IT industry’s newest attempt to assist software developers in writing code was disclosed by Amazon.com Inc. on Thursday.

At a business conference in Las Vegas, Swami Sivasubramanian, a vice president at Amazon’s cloud division, described the service, named Amazon CodeWhisperer, which searches for security and bias issues in web developers’ projects as well as offers programming advice.

The business used its own codebase, billions of lines of open source code that was made available to the public, publicly accessible documentation, and publicly accessible code on public forums to train the system, which at the moment supports Java, JavaScript, and Python.

Developers can now utilize it directly inside their favorite IDEs, such as Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, and Amazon’s own AWS Cloud 9, as it is now available in preview as part of the AWS IDE Toolkit.

Liat Ben-Zur, Microsoft’s Corporate Vice President said “Microsoft is all in on gaming and as we recently announced, we’re building a platform for the next 20 years that offers the games players want on any device they want to play. Our teams throughout the company are continuing to collaborate to deliver awesome gaming experiences across devices, whether you like to play on your Xbox console, Windows PC, phone or tablet. As part of this exciting effort, Microsoft Edge is evolving to meet gamers’ needs and help bring gaming to everyone, everywhere.”

Additionally, Microsoft is adding a new “efficiency mode” to Edge that, when turned on, will minimise the number of resources used by Edge anytime a user runs a game on Windows. Edge will resume from where you left off when the game is closed. Due to advancements made in Edge, the business is also enhancing the sharpness of games streamed through Xbox Cloud Gaming.

Amazon Honeycode is in beta form. This new fully-managed AWS service gives you the power to build powerful mobile & web applications without writing any code. It uses the familiar spreadsheet model and lets you get started in minutes.
