In the coming months, India will have 5G networks. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made major announcements concerning 6G services in India ahead of the big launch. Prime Minister Modi stated that the country is preparing to launch 6G services before the end of this decade. The announcement was made at the event Smart India Hackathon 2022. Telecom Minister Ashiwini Vaishnaw said earlier today that 5G services will be available in India by October 12.

PM Modi announced the 6G network during the Grand Finale of the Smart India Hackathon 2022. He says that we are ready to introduce 6G by the end of this decade. The government is pushing Indian gaming and entertainment solutions.”

6G services in India

5G and 6G services will be available in all the parts of India

Previously, Vaishnaw stated that 5G services will be available in every portion of India within the next 2-3 years. “We intend to rapidly roll out 5G services.” The telecom companies are working on it, and installations are taking place. Hopefully, we will be able to launch 5G and later 6G services by October 12. It will then subsequently expand up in cities and towns. We will make certain that it remains inexpensive. The industry is concentrating on both urban and rural locations.”

The Department of Telecommunications previously declared that high-speed internet services will be available in 13 Indian cities. The cities are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune.

Jio, Airtel and Vodafone have established testing sites

According to sources, Jio, Airtel, and even Vodafone have already established testing sites in the 13 cities scheduled to receive 5G connectivity. According to reports, Airtel and Jio have claimed to be the first providers in India to launch 5G services.

Bharti Mittal, CEO of Airtel, said that the company’s 5G network is ready and will go live shortly after the auction concludes. “You will see faster speeds, but they will be there.” Isn’t the government eager to get 5G up and running? As soon as the recommendations are issued and auctions are held, I believe that early 5G networks would be operational within months, and Airtel has been preparing for this.
