Facebook estimated the active users in Stories and found 150 million daily viewers and they have started the first test ads in the US, Mexico, and Brazil last week according to TechCrunch.
Subscribers in the three countries are now experiencing the ads in Facebook Stories with five up to 15 seconds per ads. Facebook gives an option for the users to skip the ads but they cannot tap it like the other Stories. Advertisers can easily connect their Instagram story to Facebook story or they can simply repost it with the new feature of Facebook so that they can edit the colors of the ads with ad copy text. Similar to the stories of the users, the ads will last for 24 hours.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that business will be hurt if they don’t allow the advertisements to show on Facebook Stories. This can also help Facebook to compete with other social media apps and sites.
