Acer has just announced several of their new Windows 10 PCs will include a pre-installed version of Amazon’s smart assistant Alexa. The notebooks mentioned include their popular Spin 3 and Spin 5 models which are now available. Alexa will also be pre-installed in Acer’s Nitro 5 spin gaming notebook that will come out next month.
Products already being sold can also be updated with Alexa soon. Users of the Spin 5 and Spin 3 can have the smart assistant installed staring May 23 and May 26, respectively. In a statement, VP of Amazon Alexa Steve Rabuchin said, “We’re delighted to work with Acer to bring Alexa to customers in new ways,” and that “We believe customers should be able to interact with Alexa wherever they might need her, including from their PCs, in order to take advantage of the simplicity of voice control.”
Jerry Kao, Acer’s President of IT Products Business said about the announcement, “We are thrilled to be the first to market with these flexible systems, which feature industry-leading audio and the latest technologies for convenient, time-saving and intuitive interactions.”
Acer’s new lineups of laptops are available starting today.
