WWDC 2023 will be held from June 5th through June 9th and will be aired live online, like it was last year. Here’s a rundown of what to expect at the upcoming developer conference. Among the attractions is Apple’s World Wide Developer Conference 2023, which begins on June 5th. New iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS versions are likely to be released.  Apple is also expected to unveil new hardware, such as an AR/VR headset and a new MacBook Air.

Apple revealed earlier last month that it will hold its 34th Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) from June 5 to June 9, 2023. The conference will begin on June 5 with a keynote address, like it did the previous year. However, like the 2022 conference, WWDC 2023 will be a virtual event, with only a few select developers and students invited to Apple Park to watch the opening keynote in person. For those who did not receive an invitation, Apple will broadcast the event on several platforms, including Apple.com, the Apple Developer website, Apple TV, and YouTube.

Although Apple has not yet revealed any details about this year’s conference, WWDC gives developers the first look at new iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS updates. There is much speculation about what software as well as hardware innovations Apple will reveal at its annual developer event. At WWDC 2023, we expect to hear about iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10. Furthermore, rumours suggest that Apple will unveil its late-awaited AR/VR headset at the event. The formal announcement for the next WWDC 2023 event gives us more information about what to expect during the conference. Expected Hardware Announcements are as follows.

1. AR/VR Headset

According to rumours, Apple will finally reveal their long-awaited AR/VR headset at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). This move will enable developers to build apps and experiences for the gadget prior to its formal release later this year. The AR/VR headgear includes some fascinating features, such as the ability to switch between augmented and virtual reality modes through a Digital Crown-like control knob. It’s also lightweight and comfy, with an Apple Watch-style band and mesh against the face. The headset also includes the option for lenses with prescriptions.

Other notable characteristics include 4K micro-OLED displays and powerful Apple silicon chips similar to those found in Macs. It features an all-new xrOS operating system that can run iPhone and iPad apps, a separate App Store, and an improved FaceTime experience.

The AR/VR headgear also features a dozen or more cameras that can interpret facial expressions, identify body movements, and map the environment. It has gesture-based control, which eliminates the need for a hardware controller. It also features an iris-scanning feature for authentication. Apple’s AR/VR headset is eagerly anticipated, and the company’s WWDC announcement is guaranteed to generate a lot of buzz.

2.New MacBook Pro & MacBook Air

According to sources, Apple is planning to release a revamped version of the Mac Pro that will be powered by an Apple silicon chip, with the unveiling perhaps taking place during WWDC. Although there will be no major changes to the design of the Mac Pro, the majority of the improvements will be focused on transitioning to the new Apple silicon.

In addition to the redesigned Mac Pro, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman speculates that Apple may release a new 15-inch MacBook Air. According to Gurman, Apple is working on a larger 15-inch MacBook Air, an upgraded 13-inch MacBook Air, and a new 13-inch MacBook Pro, with a few of these models set to be unveiled at WWDC.

3. Expected Software Announcements

At WWDC, Apple is expected to release several new operating systems, including iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10. Following the keynote event, developers will be given access to previews of these operating systems, allowing them to create applications that take advantage of the most recent features, which will be available to the general public in the autumn.

The next iOS 17 is expected to have a number of minor quality-of-life enhancements that customers have requested, rather than a major headline feature. While rumors indicate that it will include some of the “most requested features,” the specifics have yet to be revealed.

While the update is expected to include incorporation with the AR/VR headset and improved CarPlay, it will be less comprehensive than previous updates because Apple is focused on making significant adjustments to the App Store to allow sideloading on European devices. This modification is required to comply with new European Union laws, and it will necessitate a number of updates to the operating system, consuming some of the development assets that would normally be utilized to deliver new features.
