Apple introduced its next generation of AirPods that will include a wireless charging case with a voice command feature.
The 2nd Gen AirPods has dimensions of 16.5mm x 18mm x 40.5mm each earpiece with 44.3mm x 21.3mm x 53.5mm wireless charging case. The battery life of the new AirPods is up to 5 hours listening time and up to 2 hours talk time with a single charge while more than 24 hours listening time and up to 18 hours talk time with the wireless charging case. The new wireless earphones have dual beamforming microphones, dual optical sensors, a motion-detecting accelerometer, and speech-detecting accelerometer. The wireless charging case can be charged through a wireless charging mat or Lightning which is compatible with Qi.
The new AirPods is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch models with iOS 12.2 up to the latest, Apple Watch models with watchOS 5.2 or later, and Mac models with macOS 10.14.4 or later.
The AirPods with the new charging case has a starting price of $199.00, $159 for the standard case and users will also have an option if they only want to buy the charging case for $79.00.
