Samsung introduced its new smartphone model with a caption “Ten years after the first Galaxy. We didn’t just change the shape of the phone. We changed the shape of tomorrow.”
The new Samsung Galaxy Fold has a 7.3 inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED for the main display with an aspect ratio of 4.2:3 and 4.6 inch HD+ Super AMOLED for the cover display with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The Galaxy Fold runs with Android 9.0 Pie and 7nm 64-bit octa-core processor. The storage has 12GM of RAM and 512GB of ROM with no microSD slot. The cover camera has 10MP Selfie camera, the dual front camera has 10MP Selfie camera + 8MP RGB Depth Camera, and the triple rear camera has 12MP Telephoto Camera + 12MP Wide Angle Camera + 16MP Ultra Wide Camera.
According to The Verge, Kate Beaumont, Director of Product, Services, and Commercial Strategy at Samsung UK, confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy fold will launch on April 26 with a starting price of $1,980 (£1,800).
