LG confirmed the major software update for its Android phones which are LG G7 ThinQ, LG G6, and LG V40 ThinQ.
The first smartphone that will have the latest Android 9 Pie is the LG G7 ThinQ. The software updates have improved Google Account contacts, Messages app, FPS setting, Bluetooth connection with Mercedes E300 vehicles, and Google Security. The updates fixed bugs, audio problems including alarm sounds at maximum volume during MirrorLink app, external audio device, and fixed the problem about the touchscreen while playing with the horizontal screen setup. For LG G6 performance update, it will have improved voice call quality, Talkback voice, and the fingerprint input screen will temporarily invisible. For the LG V40 ThinQ performance update, the camera will include PentaShot feature, functions such as Parking Assistant and subway notification is located in a context aware setting, and the Alarm or Clock app will cancel its alarm on holidays.
The Android 9 Pie update for LG G7 ThinQ has started rolling out. The company also confirmed that the updates to selected models are exclusively available in Korea.
