Yesterday, Google released a file management service for Android phones in China with four third-party phone companies for distribution.
Files Go was spread globally last year but in China, it was released yesterday because Google services are still banned in the country. Files Go is an app where users can save and share their files with limited storage that can be used even without an internet connection. It can also let the user find the files faster. It was developed by Google’s Next Billion program that plans to upgrade the markets including some countries in Asia that have many people who are still using low-end phones. Users will also need to delete some files when the storage is full.
The four companies that will help Google to deliver Files Go are Tencent Holdings Limited, Xiaomi Inc., Huawei Technologies Co., and Baidu Inc.
The Files Go is Google’s third app that has been released in China.
