WhatsApp works continuously to improve the user experience. Whatsapp has made a revolutionary move to fulfill the demand of users who want to transfer files without internet. You got it right. You will soon be able transfer documents, photos, videos and other files, without an internet connection. According to the WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is developing this feature called a nearby sharing.

This feature has not been released yet, but will soon be available. This feature will revolutionize communication in rural areas and where the internet connection is unstable. In many places around the world, high data costs and connectivity problems, as well as internet suspensions, are major issues. This causes personal and professional problems.

This feature is still in testing for both Android devices and iOS devices. In January of this year, it was only announced for Android devices. However, recent reports indicate that it will be available on iOS devices as well.

What is WhatsApp Nearby Share?

Android devices have a technology that detects nearby devices and allows them to be found by the user. iOS uses a different method, which involves scanning a QR Code to transfer files.

This feature will improve the overall user experience when transferring large files, particularly in low-network areas. This feature will be encrypted end-to-end. This means that your data will be safe, and only the recipient can access it.

Officials have not announced a date when this feature would be available. This feature is currently under development, and may differ from the current approach. iOS devices can also use the same method as Android devices, instead of QR scanning approach.

The Final Verdict

WhatsApp’s new offline-sharing feature will improve communication and convenience. This release will be more beneficial to areas with low network coverage. Upon its release, large file sharing becomes easy for the users.
