WhatsApp’s latest update, for Android and iOS devices, now supports 32 users on a group voice call. Last week, it announced that the feature was coming when it officially confirmed the launch the WhatsApp Communities. WhatsApp’s limit for group voice call was eight users until now. Remember that this limit only applies to voice calls, not video calls.

WhatsApp plans to release more features, such as the ability to share files up to 2GB, reactions to specific messages, etc. This feature is included in the changelog for iOS version 22.8.80. Update description states that group calls can now have up to 32 participants. It also includes an updated interface, which features a new social audio layout with speaker highlights, waveforms, and a speaker highlight.

WhatsApp also updated the designs of voice message bubbles, information screens and contact and group lists. Users will also see improvements when accessing their favorite media in the gallery. The feature is available on Android v2.22.9.73.

WABetainfo reported that WhatsApp was testing a feature which allows users to edit recipients and select an audience before sending media with a caption view. This feature will also be added to WhatsApp Status and is only visible to beta testers on version 2.22.10.6. The option will not be visible to all beta testers.

WABetaInfo reports that in the regular version, users are not able to select different recipients for sending media files from a chat. WhatsApp’s camera tab is the only way to do this. Now, users can choose the recipients when they send a GIF, video, or photo. The options for status updates are My contacts (except My contacts) and Only share with. Users will be able now to control who can see their WhatsApp Status.
