Oppo will launch India’s IP69-rated first smartphone, the F27 Pro+ on June 13. IP69 is the highest ingress level available for consumer-grade smartphones. It can also withstand lower temperatures and higher pressure for longer periods. This gives it superior water and dust resistance.
Oppo F27 Pro+ features
According to Oppo China’s official website the Oppo F27 Pro+, a rebadged Oppo A13 Pro, can be submerged for 30 minutes in water and still work properly. The device has been certified IP68, IP66 and IP69, in addition to IP69, which ensures robust protection from water and dust.
These ratings are only applicable when the phone is in contact with liquids like water, soda, alcohol or seawater.
Oppo has completely redesigned the F27 Pro+ to achieve this feat. The phone is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 to protect the display and a waterproof barrier that prevents water from entering, even when under pressure or extreme temperatures. Commercials show users washing the F27 Pro+ with hot water. Oppo F27 Pro+ has an IP69 rating, which means that it can withstand extreme temperatures without any risk of liquids or dust damaging the device. Repairs will not likely be covered by warranty if your device is damaged.
