Social media platform X is coming out with a new feature called stories that will use groke AI to provide a brief and precise version of news on the platform. However this feature will only be available for the premium subscribers.
What is ‘Stories’ by X?
Over the past few weeks X has been getting a bunch of new features that are powered by artificial intelligence. The official X engineering team made an announcement through their X handle @XEng that users who have subscribed to the premium version of the app will now get an option called Stories that will help them to get a summarized version of posts and news that are available on X associated with each trending story.
Where will the feature be available?
The new feature will be available for all the premium subscribers of X. The story feature will be visible under the ‘For You’ tab of the ‘Explore’ section. The for you page generally shows the stories and news that the users are interested in and allows them to catch up on what is happening on the platform. The summary is generated when you tap on a story instead of using text from the article or news story, based on the conversations that have been happening on the platform.

This AI powered feature will be available for iOS and web users only for now. Besides there will be a warning message below the summary that has been generated saying “Grok can make mistakes, verify its outputs”.
