Microsoft announced suite at Microsoft Ignite in Orlando that Office 2019 has sailed and will be released mid-2018.
For those who are not ready for the big leap yet, Microsoft added a new user and IT capabilities for customers who are not comfortable in moving to the cloud. Office 365, Microsoft’s cloud-based software is having a hard time reaching out to their subscribers.
Office 2019 is basically for those who don’t want their apps and services in the cloud yet but still needs the basic Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Skype for Business, SharePoint and Microsoft Exchange will also remain as usual along with the others.
“New and improved inking features—like pressure sensitivity, tilt effects, and ink replay—will allow you to work more naturally. New formulas and charts will make data analysis for Excel more powerful. Visual animation features—like Morph and Zoom—will add polish to PowerPoint presentations. Server enhancements will include updates to IT manageability, usability, voice, and security.” Office GM Jared Spataro stated from the announcement.
Microsoft will release more information in the months to come.
