WhatsApp, the Meta-owned messaging and calling platform, has now made it simple for users to move WhatsApp chats from an old to a new smartphone without the need for a cloud backup.
Previously, users were required to have a cloud backup in order to have their discussions properly backed up without losing data. WhatsApp’s new in-app functionality now allows for the transfer of communications between two smartphones running the same operating system sans relying on cloud backup services.
Mark Zuckerberg stated that if you wish to relocate your WhatsApp talks to a new phone, you can now do it more quietly without your chats ever leaving your devices.
This Procedure Is To Move WhatsApp Conversations From One Smartphone To Another:
- Launch the WhatsApp app.
- Head to the settings menu in the upper right corner of the app.
- Through the drop-down menu, navigate to the ‘Chats’ area of the settings.
- Select the ‘Transfer Chats’ tab.
- After reading the instructions, press the Start button.
