On Independence Day this year, Ola Electric’s CEO – Bhavish Aggarwal, made an announcement about the company’s electric car. He revealed that the Ola Electric Car could make its debut by 2024. For the unversed, the rumours about the electric car are in the air for a long. Finally, on August 15, 2022, Bhavish Aggarwal confirmed about the electric car’s development and arrival. Aggarwal confirmed this with a short video, shared on Twitter. He also spoke about other Ola Electric offerings that went on sale in the Indian market this month. Well, now a host of information is available about the car. Read on to know about it.
The Design
According to the teaser, the electric automobile features a straightforward profile with one distinct character line down the middle. It doesn’t seem to have a door for the second row. This begs the issue of whether it will be a two-seater variant or have regular rear seats. Additionally, it will have a glass roof similar to Tesla electric vehicles.
The Features
Ola’s offering won’t be lacking in many features, which is essential for an electric vehicle. Moreover, keyless entry, cutting-edge ADAS safety technology, a sizable touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital instrument dashboard, MoveOS, handle-free doors, and other technologies could be there.
The Range
According to claims, the next electric car from Ola will have a range of more than 500 kilometres after a full charge. Additionally, it will be equipped with a locally created and manufactured lithium-ion battery pack that has a drag coefficient of 0.21 Cd. The Ola electric car’s performance promises to be exciting as well, with a stated 0-100 kmph time of just 4 seconds.
The launch date
Aggarwal had earlier tweeted a video of Ola’s upcoming electric vehicle. A red car is seen driving on a road in the footage, just its back wheels are visible. “A picture is worth a thousand words. See you at 2 p.m. on August 15 “Agarwal penned. This time, Aggarwal affirmed that the electric vehicle will be available for purchase by 2024.
