Later this year, Android 13—the newest version of Android—will be available. Google has started rolling out the public beta for Android 13 for the recently released Pixel 6A. Also, Pixel customers may now try Android 13 in the beta version.

Steps to update Google Pixel 6A for Android 13

The Android 13 beta is which currently available for download on the Google Pixel 6A. The new version of Android introduces a plethora of new features to Google Pixel 6A. The mobile phone can be registered for beta testing by visiting the website for the Android Beta Program. However, website will display eligible devices for Android 13 beta after you check in with your Google account. You can join the beta programme and start receiving beta updates after registering your Google Pixel 6A. A step-by-step tutorial is provided below:

  • Visit the webpage for the Android Beta Program (https://www.google.com/android/beta)
  • Choose ‘view eligible devices’ option
  • Choose ‘Opt in’ option once you see you device’s name.
  • Go through the terms and conditions, then accept them. Google will provide three checkboxes: one that reads “I’m a developer and would like to get developer-focused email updates.” However, other two will ask you to accept the terms.

You don’t have to choose the option which            registers you as a developer, to opt-in.

  • Click “Opt in” when finished.

Google Pixel 6A gets Android 13

The Android 13 update will now begin to download to your Google Pixel 6A. While updating, one must keep their smartphone charged. Additionally, users must make a full backup of all their data before installing the Android 13 beta, as switching back to the regular Android version will erase all of your data.
