According to a tip from sources based on information from OnLeaks, Sony may be prepared to reveal a new series of gaming headphones. The three headsets will reportedly be a part of a new gaming gear line from Sony called “Inzone,” which might potentially feature a pair of game monitors, rather than being explicitly PlayStation-branded, like Sony’s Pulse headset. The three so-called H-series headsets appear in leaked photographs to have a similar white colour scheme to the current Pulse headset. The H3 includes a physical volume control and a USB-C connector. It is wired. In renderings of the H3, a button with the label “NC/AMB” is seen, indicating that it would enable noise cancellation and have an ambient audio mode to let users hear what’s going on around them.
The H7 and H9, on the other hand, are wireless and may connect by Bluetooth or a USB dongle that is supplied. The H9, which costs more than the other, supposedly has noise cancelling capabilities. 360-degree spatial audio is supported by all three. No official information has been released on the platforms the headsets will support, but if they’re anything like Sony’s current Pulse headset, they will probably function on PC in addition to the PS5.
These headsets may be included in a larger portfolio of Sony’s Inzone-branded gaming peripherals, if a different story is to be believed. According to sources, the corporation may potentially be working on two game screens under the Inzone name. One could feature a 4K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate, while the other is purportedly 240Hz but only has a 1080p resolution. The specific screen sizes are unknown, but both are expected to include gaming-specific features like HDR and customizable refresh rates. We can only hope that Sony has learnt from its last introduction of a standalone display made especially for a PlayStation console.
